Frequently Asked Questions
What is Morris Sports Consultancy?
Morris Sports Consultancy provides independent, athlete-first guidance to student-athletes and their families who are interested in studying and competing in college sports in the United States. We help you understand the process, develop a realistic plan, and make informed decisions with confidence.
Are you a recruiting agency?
No.
We are an independent consultancy, not a recruiting agency. We do not represent colleges or coaches, and we are not paid by universities to recommend particular schools.
Our advice is designed to be honest, unbiased, and focused on what is best for you.
Do you guarantee scholarships or college placement?
No.
Nobody can ethically guarantee athletic scholarships, admission, roster spots, visas, financial aid, eligibility, or playing time.
What we do guarantee is honest guidance, realistic advice, and support throughout your journey.
Who do you work with?
We work with:
Domestic U.S. student-athletes
International student-athletes
Transfer students
Graduate students
Parents and families
Most athletes we work with are between 14–18 years old, although we also support older students.
Can parents attend consultations?
Absolutely.
Parents or legal guardians are encouraged to attend every consultation.
For athletes under 18, a parent or legal guardian must attend all consultations.
How do consultations take place?
All consultations are held virtually using Zoom, allowing us to work with families anywhere in the world.
How long is a consultation?
Most consultations last approximately one hour unless otherwise stated within your chosen service or package.
Can I book just one consultation?
Yes.
There are no long-term contracts or commitments.
Many families begin with a single consultation before deciding whether they would like additional support.
How do I get started?
Our onboarding process is simple:
Complete the Onboarding Form.
Choose and purchase your preferred service or package.
Schedule your consultation.
Attend your consultation.
Continue only if you feel additional support would be valuable.
There is never any pressure to continue.
When do I need to pay?
Payment must be received at least 48 hours before your scheduled consultation.
If payment has not been received by this time, the consultation will be automatically cancelled.
What is your cancellation policy?
Consultations cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time may be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Consultations cancelled within 48 hours are charged as one consultation from your package or booking.
Please see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.
What happens if I arrive late?
If you arrive late, your consultation will still finish at its scheduled end time.
If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting us, the consultation may be treated as a missed appointment.
Are consultations recorded?
Yes.
All consultations are securely recorded for safeguarding, quality assurance, training, and accurate record-keeping purposes.
By booking and attending a consultation, you consent to the recording of the session. Recordings are stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes.
We take privacy seriously and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information is only shared where necessary to deliver our services or where required by law.
Do you contact college coaches for me?
Not automatically.
Our role is to educate, guide, and support you throughout the process.
Depending on the service you've purchased, we may advise on communication strategies, review emails, or discuss coach interactions, but we do not act as your recruiting representative unless clearly stated.
Can you review my highlight video or recruiting profile?
Yes.
We are happy to review videos, recruiting profiles, emails, résumés, and other recruiting materials, providing honest feedback and suggestions for improvement.
However, we do not create recruiting videos or edit highlight films.
Do you help with NCAA eligibility?
Yes.
We can explain NCAA, NAIA, and JUCO eligibility requirements, timelines, and processes, helping you understand what steps may be required.
Final eligibility decisions are always made by the relevant governing organisations.
What sports do you work with?
Our guidance is designed to support student-athletes across a wide range of sports.
While Emma's professional background is in collegiate women's soccer, much of the college admissions, recruiting, eligibility, and decision-making process is similar across sports.
Which countries do you work with?
Because consultations are delivered online, we work with families worldwide.
Why should I choose Morris Sports Consultancy?
Emma has experienced the U.S. college system from multiple perspectives—as an international student-athlete, transfer student, graduate student, and NCAA coach.
That unique experience allows Morris Sports Consultancy to provide practical, honest, and independent guidance focused on helping families make informed decisions—not selling unrealistic promises.
I still have questions. How can I contact you?
We'd love to hear from you.
